The steel traps at Oak Ridge Gun Range are designed to handle all standard handgun calibers and rifles up to a 7 mm mag. However, we can not allow any type of steel ammunition to be shot out of rifles.

Yes, gun rentals are available. We try to keep the most popular makes/models available on the rental program. Check with the lobby for current rental information

Typically a range rental is $20 for the first shooter and $15 for each additional shooter on that lane. Thursdays are military appreciation day, cost is $10 with a valid military ID. Fridays all ladies shoot for $10. There are a number of special offers which can he found HERE

Yes, our range is climate controlled. However, we do live in Florida and it gets hot so dress accordingly!

No, we do not allow muzzleloaders due to the amount of unburn powder which ruins the filters much faster.

We are a family friendly range but children must be a minimum of ten years old to enter the range and should be accompanied by an adult at all times. Gun safety is extremely important to us and we welcome the opportunity to include children in any and all educational opportunities. Children under ten years old may watch through the windows but still need to be under adult supervision.

Shooters must be 18 years old to purchase long gun ammunition and 21 years old to purchase handgun ammunition. Shooters under 18 must have a parent or guardian inside the range with them.

We prefer firearms to be encased in a hard or soft case, magazines separate from the firearms, chambers opened, and COMPLETELY unloaded.

Yes, we are handicap accessible. Please call ahead if you need special assistance or have any questions.

No. We welcome shooters of all skill levels to come in and shoot. Please let us know if you are a new shooter and we will have one of our instructors give you a quick lesson. We also offer a basic firearm class by appointment as a more in depth training experience.

Our range rental prices are for ALL DAY not per hour, best rates anywhere around! If we have a wait list we ask our shooters to observe an hour long shooting session and rotate out and get back in line. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the day so this courtesy is a big help for all of our customers.

No, our range is first come first serve. Our range time prices are good for all day. Check our specials page for discounts and deals.

Oak Ridge Gun Range has a zero tolerance policy regarding drugs or alcohol. In the state of Florida it is illegal to use a firearm under the influence.

Yes! We encourage you to take pictures while shooting at Oak Ridge. Add us on facebook or instagram and share your pictures with us! However remember that all safety rules need to be followed when taking photos.

Yes, you can bring your own ammunition for your firearms. If you are planning on using our rental program you are required to buy ammunition from us. We do not allow any steel core rifle ammunition as it causes damage to the facilities. Shotgun ammunition must be purchased in store.

Due to Covid-19, you must now bring your own eye and ear protection to the range. Eye and ear protection is available to purchase in the gun shop lobby. 


Yes, we can accommodate any size group for a Concealed Weapon Class. With a group of eight or more we offer a discounted rate and are able to schedule at your convenience. Classes are only held at the range. We do not perform off-site classes.

No. Do not bring a firearm to a class. The range will provide any firearm needed for instruction.

Yes, you may bring your firearm to a class. If not, one will be provided. 

All classes are operational at this time. Times vary. Check out the classes page for updates. Reservations are no longer required.


Yes, we offer a large selection of ammo for both rifles and pistols for range and personal use.

Yes, we offer gift certificates that may be loaded in any dollar amount. These make great gifts and can be used for range time, ammo, classes, and even to purchase a firearm!

Yes, we offer new and used gun sales. With any gun purchase you also receive 30 days free range.

Yes, we complete transfers for a fee of $40 plus a $7 background check.

To report a lost or stolen firearm, contact local law enforcement with model and serial number. If you purchased your gun at Oak Ridge this info can be found on your acquisition record.

Yes, some restrictions apply. Handgun purchases by a non-Florida resident require the firearm to be transferred to the purchaser’s state of residency where the proper paperwork will be completed. Long guns can be purchased and in many instances do not need to be transferred to the state of residence. Please see a store associate with any questions.
